I thought id share with you a personal project I've been working on for my wedding.
I ended up having to make all of my wedding stationary myself (long boring story) and I'd decided from early on I wanted a vintage theme with lots of vintage birdcages and whimsical flowers and pearls and I wanted my stationary to be in-keeping with that theme.
So my invites all had vintage birdcages and pretty birdies on, with seam binding ribbon in a mink colour and a dusky pink, which are our wedding colours. I decided I wanted a wedding guest book for guests to sign, but I couldn't find one that would match our theme so I had an idea, I should make it myself! So, low & behold, I did, and I'm glad I did because I'm very happy with the results! I used the tim holtz birdcage die, a music note stamp for the background, I distressed the edges with tim holtz distressing ink in antique photo and old paper to give it an aged effect.
I also tea stained some scrap bits of lace I had lying around, and use the same seam binding ribbon that I'd used on my invites, to tie it all in together. I also used pearlised buttons down the one side, with a pretty vintage inspired bow embellishment and pink cameo.
This is that little bit more special because our little boy, Alfie, who's 4 helped me stick all of the buttons on!
I hope you like it as much as I do. It'll be something beautiful to remember our wedding by! x
